This means that your body will not be ready to relax and fall asleep. You will lay awake in bed until your body finally digests the food and drink enough to relax. To prevent lying awake for hours, avoid eating anything. Have a set bedtime so that you know what your cutoff point is for food.
  • Set a bedtime: Your body needs the right amount of sleep every night to function. So make sure that you have a general time that you lay down to go to sleep every night. This will allow your body to start working on somewhat of a clock to prevent you from lying in bed for hours attempting to go to sleep. Just make sure that whatever time tou set allows you to get the right amount of sleep.
